Global AI Community: July 2026 Update & New Resources

July has been a season of wrap-ups and a fresh start. AgentCamp and Build // localhost both closed out strong seasons, our community keeps growing across every channel, and we're consolidating chapter tools into one new Global AI platform. Here's a full recap of what we covered.

1. AgentCamp & Build // localhost: That's a Wrap ​

Both flagship programs closed out their 2026 seasons with record reach.

  • AgentCamp 2026: Wrapped with 105 locations across 35 countries, delivering 420+ hours of AI content.
  • Build // localhost: Wrapped with 60 locations across 35 countries, delivering 240 hours of AI content, run in partnership with Microsoft Build.

A huge thank you to every chapter lead, organizer, speaker, and attendee who made this season possible.

2. Community Growth ​

The community keeps growing across every channel.

  • Chapter Network: We're now at 200 chapters worldwide.
  • YouTube: Our channel has crossed 50,000 subscribers. Subscribe here.
  • Newsletter: We've published 150+ issues of Global AI Weekly.

3. Platform Migration: Meetup.com is Going Away ​

We're consolidating chapter tools into the new Global AI platform, and Meetup.com will no longer be part of that toolkit.

  • What's Changing: Chapter events move fully to the new Global AI platform, and Meetup.com groups will be phased out.
  • Deadline: July 20, 2026 is the last day to claim and keep your city_name@globalai.community email address. Chapter leads should act before this date to avoid losing their chapter email.

4. Introducing the New Global AI Platform ​

Everything a chapter lead needs now lives in one place at globalai.community/my.

  • Manage your entire chapter from the website
  • Send email to attendees
  • Sell and manage tickets for attendees
  • Scanner for the check-in process
  • Sessions support to display speakers and agenda
  • Upload post-event photos and a video link to the event page
  • Automated review email sent after each event
  • Login on up to 5 devices
  • One inbox for notifications, badges, chapters, and your profile

5. New Event Series: Global AI Construct ​

We're launching a new hands-on, no-slides build format running July through September.

  • Format: Chapters host sessions across no-code, low-code, and pro-code tracks.
  • For Chapter Leads: Bring the format to your chapter with sessions tagged by skill level for easy planning.
  • Curriculum: A full curriculum and session catalog is provided by HQ.

6. Discord & Q&A ​

  • Join Us: Keep the conversation going with chapter leads worldwide on Discord.
  • Q&A: We closed the meeting with an open floor for chapter lead questions.
