Event Formats
The 2026/2027 event program gives chapters a clear rhythm for the year. Seasonal events bring chapters together around a shared global theme, while the Global AI Conference can run throughout the year. Partners and Global AI HQ also create additional opportunities for local communities.

Year-round events
Global AI Conference
The Global AI Conference is the year-round, chapter-organized conference format. Chapters can apply to host a full-day event with sessions, workshops, partners, and a broad AI developer audience.
Partner-led opportunities
Partners can collaborate with Global AI Community to bring focused programs to local chapters.
- GitHub Dev Day — a partner-led developer event delivered with participating communities.
HQ-organized events
Global AI HQ leads a small number of strategic event programs. Participation, locations, and local organizing teams are coordinated directly by HQ.
- AgentCon — an invite-only conference series focused on developers building with AI agents.
- Fly With Copilot
- Future of Work Summit
- MCP Community Days
Choosing an event
- Follow the seasonal calendar when you want to join a coordinated global chapter campaign.
- Apply for a Global AI Conference when your chapter is ready to organize a larger conference at another time of year.
- Join partner-led or HQ-organized opportunities when your chapter is invited or when an application is announced.
